GOLF.
CHRISTCHURCH. April 19. The Amateur Golf Championship of Canterbury was decided this afternoon, the winner being B. C. Rutherford, of Christchurch, whose gross score for the two rounds was 161. H. B. Lusk (Christchurch) and H. C. Wright (Timaru) tied for runner-up, and the tie will be played off later. The handicap medal for the first round was won by W. A. Humphreys (Christchurch), the medal for the second by A. C. Fryer (Christchurch).
