PARK LAKE IMPROVEMENTS.
(To the Editor). Sir,— The Borough Park Committee has been entrusted with oyer ninety pounds to expend on the improvement of the Park Lake, which amount was raised very largely through the efforts of local swimmers." I trust that when they are expending this money they will nut overlook the claims of the large number of swimmers who use the lake, and will set apart a reasonable sum to be spent t-olely in improving the swimming course. This should be widened, deepened, and lengthened —certainly not a great deal, but if the swimming championships are to be held here (and it is probable they will) it is essential that an even channel should be prepared and a properly surveyed and marked-oil: one at that. I hope the Park Committee will not devote the whole of the money derived from the Aqua'ic Spcrts in extending the shallow portions of the Lake, as I think the Council should provide for this work.— I am, etc., SWIMMER.
