MASTERTON FOOTBALL CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the Masterton Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last night. The following new members were elected. —W. Darvill, H. Yates, B. Daysh, 0. Wellington, J. E. Catt, P. and A. Pauling, G. Barr, B. Campbell, H. Braggins, H. Houghton, S. Simmons, G. Blane and P. Doyle. As the Club had obtained full right, at a cost of £2 to use the Showgrounds on Saturday next, it was decided to make a charge of Is for admission on the occasion of the Athletic—Masterton match. It was pointed out that the fixture wa* one of the very best of the season, and as the proceed? were in aid of the club's funds, the public would be ready to give its support. It was decided to send complimentary tickets to the Red Star Club for use of its own players, and officials and members of the Southern Club, who would be playing on the No. 2 ground, the juniors of the Masterton Club haying foregone the Southern match in favour of the Red Stars. The sec- j retary stated that he had arranged a match for the juniors on Easter Monday against the Wellington ; Star Club. It was decided to j entertain the Athletics at a smoke I concert at the Central Hotel on Saturday'night, and to ask the President" (Mr W. G. Lamb) to take the chair. Mr E. McKenzie, of Carterton, intimated that he would be pleased to referee in the mutch. On the Monday the Committee will entertain the Wellington Stars at a dinn?r at the Queen's Hotel if practicable, and provide a drag to convey the players to and from the station. The members of the Masterton third class team appointed Messrs A. Pauling, 0. Wellington and T. Rayner to act as a selection committee, and Mr A. Pauling captain. The sercetary stated that he was endeavouring to arrange a match against Dalefield juniors for Saturday next. The following will represent Masterton Thirds against the High School on Saturday next:—E. Boyd, 0. Wellington, C- Osmond, A. Pauling, G. Yates, E. Flaws, N. Fly, R. Milne, T. Rayner, W. McHattie, H. Haughton, J. Catt, F. Pauling, B. Campbell, J) Dixon. Emergencies— Boyd, Coyle, Braggins.
