NOTICE OF ELECTION OF MAYOR. BOROUGH OF MASTERTON. Notice is hereby given THAT—1. Tho DAY OF ELECTION of Mayor for the said Borough will be WEDNESDAY, the TWENTYNINTH day of APRIL, 1908. 2. Each Candidate for election i>z Mayor nmst be nominate*.! in writing, and the nomination paper must be sent to me so that it shall be received at the Council Chambers, Chapel Street, Masterton (which is my office for the purposes of the election) not LATER than twelve o'clock at NOON on WEDNESDAY, the TWENTY-SECOND day of APRIL, 1908, and every such candidate so nominated must deposit with the Returning Officer the sum of TEN POUNDS. 3. FORMS OF NOMINATION PAPER may be obtained free of charge from me at the above-named office. 4. The NOMINATION PAPER must be in the following form or in a form to the liko effect. NOMINATION PAPER. If the NUMBER of CANDIDATES do NOT EXCEED ONE, the Candidate so nominated will on the TWENTY-NINTH day of APRIL, 1903, be declared by me to be duly elected Mayor for the said Borough. 8. If the number of Candidates validly nominated EXCEEDS ONE I shall on the TWENTY-SECOND day of APRIL, 1908, give notice that on WEDNESDAY, the TWENTYNINTH day of April, 1908, a poll of the said Borough will be taken and such notice will contain a statement of the several names of the candidates, the situation of the polling booth and the hours of the poll. The DAY of ELECTION of a Councillor for the said Borough will be WEDNESDAY, the TWENTYNINTH day of APRIL, 1908. 2. The NUMBER of COUNCILLORS to be elected is ONE. 3.
