CRICKET.
Bennett, the well-known Canterbury cricketer, will leave for England shortly, under engagement to play professionally for the Worcestershire Club in first-class county cricket at Home next season. A match was to have been played at Carterton to-day between the Dalefield and Carterton team, but owing to Dalefield being unable to get a team together the match will not take place.
