Mr Hungerford, formerly a railway contractor in New Zealand, and a racehorse owner, is dead; aged 76. Mr Hungerford was a well-known racehorse owner in New Zealand a few years ago. He owned, among others, the well-known performers British Lion and Whakawatea.
