THE SYDNEY STRIKE.
POSITION HOPEFUL. Received April 8, 1.6 a.m. SYDNEY, April 7. The conference, which is endeavouring to end the coastal strike, adjourned till to-morrow. An announcement was made that after today's meeting the position is hopeful, and the prospects of a settlement of the strike are good.
