PRESERVATIVES IN BUTTER.
REPORTED PREVENTIVE REGULATIONS. Received April 6, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, April 5: Hearing rumour 3 that the Government was likely to issue regulations to prevent the use. of preservatives in butter, Mr Taverner, Victorian Agent-General, asked Mr John Burns, president of the Local Government Board, to give reasonable notice to the colonies. Mr Burns promised to consider the matter.
