THE PETITION OF BARCLAY AND CO. Received March 29, 4.40 p.m. LONDON, March 28. The case in which Barclay and Company, Ltd., bankers, who' are creditors to the extent of a quarter of a million are petitioning for the compulsory winding-up of Sir James 1 Laing and Sons, shipbuilders, was I resumed yesterday.

After hearing Hugh Laing's frank explanatory evidence, Barclay and Company withdrew their application for compulsory winding-up, and agreed to voluntary liquidation.
