WHARF LABOURERS' STRIKE. CARTERS RESUME WORK. Received March 27, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, March 27. The carters who struck in sympathy with the wharf labourers have resumed work. The strike executive feel competent to tie ships up by keeping the engineers and crews out. This has caused the carters to resume, in order to prevent a lock-out. Received March 27, 12.56 a.m. SYDNEY, March 27. Strike matters are quiet. The trouble in Sydney is causing a lot of the northern rivers trade to be diverted to Brisbane.
