A LAND SCANDAL. STARTLING REVELATIONS PROMISED. Received March 27, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, March 27. Some startling revelations are promised shortly in connection with a land scandal in New Guinea, for which two officials have been suspended. It is stated that preference was given one syndicate over another for the acquirement of a rich block of country. AUSTRALIAN RESOURCES. Received March 27, 10.42 a.m. MELBOURNE, March 27. The Federal House voted £20,000 to advertise the resources of Australia. BELMONT PARK TRAGEDY. Received March 27, .10.42 a.m. PERTH, March 27. In the case of Moore, charged with the murder of Delia Clarke, on 23rd November, at Belmont Park, the jury brought in a verdict of manslaughter. Accused was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. GUILTY OP MANSLAUGHTER. Received March 27, 9.42 p.m. SYDNEY, March 27. The jury found Price guilty of the manslaughter of Sullivan at Newtown on January Ist last, with a strong recommendation to mercy on the ground of previous good character. Accused was sentenced to three i years' imprisonment. (Henry Price, a well-known business man residing at Newtown, shot a stocktaker named Sullivan dead in his shop. Price had assigned his estate, and the victim was engaged to make an inventory. It was btlieved at the time that Price was insane).
