Received March 24, 8.37 a.m. LONDON, March 23. The late Marquis of Linlithgow bequeathed £2,000 to Mr Wallington, formerly his private secretary in Australia. The Right Hon. D. Lloyd-George, President of the Board of Trade, presided at a meeting to promote an international league of commercial travellers' associations. Lord Strathcona (Canadian High Commissioner), the Australian representative, and French, German, and other delegates heartily supported the movement. SUVA, March 24. The Legislative Council elections resulted:—H. Scott, 84; Geo. Fox, 72; S. L. Lazaras, 70; 11. Marks, 60. BERLIN, March 23. The Norddeutscher-Lloyds' report shows that in 1907 the profits of the company totalled five and a-quarter million marks.
