' (From Our Own Correspondent). 'TINUI,'March 16. On th2 13th, at Annedalc, Mr and Mrs Nevins entertained the members of the Farmers' Union and friends •at a picnic. The ground chosen for the picnic was one of the many beauty spots of Annedale, and is situated in the bend of the Whareama river, tha banks of which are surrounded with a magnificent plant- j ation. ThR fiat is nice and green, in spke of the drought. After a sumptuous lunch had beon partaken of, the large number of visitors present took part in field games, and a most enjoyable time was spent. Needless to say, Mr and Mrs Nevins were .heartily thanke< for their generous hospitality. Twenty players were present at the weekly practice of the Tennis Club last Saturday. Mrs Bartholomew and Miss Belliss kindly provided •afternoon tea. Miss McKenzie, the postmistress, who has been away enjoying a Welldeserved holiday, returned to-day, .and has taken up her duties in the post office. Dr Dawson, who has been away for three months, returned to-day. .
