THE HAMPSTEAD MINE DISASTER.

SIX BODIES RECOVERED

LONDON March 13

The bodies of six of the nineteen miners entombed in the Hampstead mine have been recovered.

They lay in a peaceful attitude near the door. These words were chalked upon a board: "The Lord preserve us!" Then follow the men's names, after which was added: "All trusting in Christ."

Niieteen men were entombed in the Hampstead colliery, Birmingham, in which a fire occurred through the upsetting of candles.
