MINERS' UNION FINED

BY TEI/EGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. j GREYMOUTH, March 13. | The Blackball Miners' Industrial Union of Workers has been fined £75 by the Arbitration Court. The cases against the Blackball Company have been dismissed. MINERS DECIDE NOT TO RESUME WORK. WHAT THEY DEMAND. A DEADLOCK. GREYMOUTH, Last Night. The miners held a meeting at Blackball this afternoon, and decided not to resume work to-morrow, holding that the meeting on Thursday night agreeing to the terms wan illegally called. A deputation waited on the manager, to-night, and stated that the miners would not start work until half-an-hour crib time was allowed and a written guarantee that the seven men would not be dismissed from the mine. The manager refused to grant the j demands and so a deadlock has been arrived at.
