PERSONAL.
Messrs N. D. Bunting and G. E. A. Hood have been elected auditors of the Masterton Rifle Volunteers.
The Rev. T. J. Smith, curate of the Anglican Church, Featherston, has been offered and accepted the position of vicar of the parish at Picton.
Mr A. C. Bicknell, of Greytown, will leave shortly to take up his residence at the Lower Hutt, he will start in business. Mr BicknelF has taken a very active part in Borough politics, having at one time been Mayor of the town, and held rather important public positions.
Mr D. Caselberg, who is leaving this week on an extended trip to the Old Country, was the recipient of a presentation at the meeting of the stewards of the Masterton Racing Club. The President (Mr C. F. Vallance) presented Mr Caselberg with .J a travelling bag and a travelling* 'T rug, for Mrs Caselberg. The gifts were suitably acknowledged by Mr Caselberg.
