Received March 6, 8.30 a.m. CAIRO. March 5. King Menelik, of Abyssinia, imprisoned the chiefs who were responsible for the recent raids, and appointed their successors.
Two thousand Abyssinians in the Lugh and Benadir hinterlands, in January last, raided Italian Somaliland, plundering and killing many merchants.
