SEQUEL TO THE MURDER OF
A PRIEST
Received March 4, 8.7 a.m. NEW YORK, March 3
Irritated by the police efforts to discover the murderer of Father Ilenrichs, a Catholic priest, at Denver, last month, an Anarchist gained admittance to the residence of Mr Shippy, Chief of the Chicago police, and wounded Mr Shippy's son and his coachman.
The desperado then shot and stabbed Mr Shippy, who finally shot the Anarchist dead.
A cablegram from New York dated February 24th, stated that a startling tragedy had occurred in a Roman Catholic Church at Denver An Italian anarchist, while kneeling at the altar receiving the Sacrament, shot and killed Father Henrichs, the officiating priest, and then escaped. He was captured later, and nearly lynched.
