The races were continued to-day in fine weather, and in the presence of a largo crowd. The racing was good. For the Cup race there was a splendid start and the race created enthusiasm. Results:— Hurdles Designer, 10.3, 1; Louise, 9.0, 2; Devonier, 11.0, 3. Six others started. Won by ten lengths. Time smin sJsec. Ascot Vale Stakes.—The Brewer 1, Kuban 2, Emita 3. Two others started. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 16sec CUP. Peru (Hickey) ... 1 Tulkeroo ... 2 Enchanted States ... 3 Ganymedes made the pace for the first two furlongs from Enchanted States, Melodrama, Delaware, Heretiare and Peru. Enchanted States led into the straight the first time and past the 'stand. Along the river stretch Delaware , took up the running, and the latter forged ahead at the bridge, leading Ganymedes by two lengths. Enchanted States was next, then came Peru. Enchanted States led at the Abattoirs from Ganymedes by half a length. Delaware and Peru were next. The pace quickened at the sheds, Enchanted States sailing along fro2n Ganymedes, Peru and Delaware, with Tulkeroo, Apologue and Booran rapidly closing up. Enchanted States led the field round the home turn, and was first into the straight. Delaware headed the former at the distance. Peru, hard pressing the latter, ran along the rails, and won by a length from Tulkeroo, with Enchanted States a length away third. Time, 4min oJ:sec. Steeplechase.—Seymour, 10.11, 1; Cast Anos, 9.5, 2; Revealer, 9.0, 3. Six others started. Won by twelve lengths. Time, 4min 17isec. Bourke Handicap.—Bright Steel, 7.7, 1; Verenice, 7.10, 2; Ebullition, 8.10, 3. Won by a head after a desperate finish. Time, lmin 27jsec. Junior Handicap—Winteriga, 7.13, 1; Thistlebrook, 7.3, 2; Waiala, 8.0, and Adriatic, 7.3 (dead heat), 3. Ten started. A splendid finish. Won by a length. Time, lmin 16 sec.
