STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report. having held their Ekctahuna sale on Friday, 28th inst. More sheep came forward than were advertised. Bidding under the hammer was fairly brisk, vendors, owing to the drought and fires, recognising that they must sell. With the exception of two pens of wethers, all sold. All cattle that were advertised came forward. Bidding was dull, most of them going out unsold. They quote — 2 tooth ewes to 12s, 2 tooth wethers to 9s 9d, fair breeding ewes to 10s, cull ewes 2s 6d to ss, fair lambs to Gs lid, cull lambs 2s to 3s, Lincoln rams to 42 guineas, Romnev rams to 21 guineas, Leicester (aged) rams to 1| guineas, Southdown (aged) Jams to 1J guineas; cattle nearly unsaleable.
