SWIMMING MATTERS.
LADIES' CLUB CARNIVAL.
Next Thursday afternoon the Ladies' Swimming Club intend holding a carnival in the Public Bath, Dixon Street, for which very complete arrangements have been made by the committee. Already a large number of entries have been received, and the various events will be well patronised. Admission is conferred to ladies only, financialjmembers of the club to be admitted^free, others to pay one shi'.ling gate fee. The programme contains eleven events, which include swimming, diving and costume events, handicap and champion races for school girls, and a 25 yards Ladies' Championship for a'gold medal presented by Mrs Blaekmah. Nominations Close with the secretary, Miss Nellie Gillespie, on Wednesday evening next. The programme is as follows:—2syds Champion, medal presented by Mrs Blackman; 25yds Handicap, Mr J. Cresswell'strophy; 15yds This Years' Swimmers; 25yds School Champion; 25yds School Handicap; Neatest Header, Mrs Noble' Campbell's trophy; Plate Diving, H. T. Wood's trophy; Fancy Swimming, C. Smith Ltd*.,'trophy; Long Dive, W.P.C.A. trophy; Costume Race, trophy; Obstacle Race, trophy.
