Received February 28, 8 30 a.m. NEW YORK, February 27. A son of Sir Hiram Maxim, the well-known civil, mechanical, and electrical engineer, has patented a noiseless rifle, using smokeless powder. American newspapers predict that it will revolutionist warfare.
