A BRITISH OFFICER MALTREATED.
AN OBSTINATE PRESIDENT APOLOGISED
Received February 28, 10 a.m. ___ LONDON, February 27. The Central News' Port au Prince (Haiti) correspondent reports that some one stoned a British aide-de-camp, when the latter was quitting President Alexis' residence. The President refusing satisfaction, the captain of the.cruiser Indefatigable brought his guns to bear on the Presidential residence.
An apology was immediately forthcoming.
