FIRST PRIZE WON BY MORNINGTON.

BY TKLWmAMI PIIKSS ASSOCIATION. NEW PLYMOUTH, February 28. The final test selection "William Tell" was played to-night on the Recreation Ground. The result was announced at 12.23 a.m.

The following are the points scored in the two selections (first prize £100):A GRADE. First Second Total Test. Test. Points.

B GRADE.

The Besson Shield for the highest points in music, including the March, was won by the Auckland Battalion Band with 381 points. (?) The Boosey Shield for the most points in all music in B Grade goes to Palmerston North. The annual meeting of the North Island Brass Bands Association decided that the next contest should be held at Hastings.
