METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.—Easterly; strong to gale at all places northward of Thames and Manukau Heads, extending southward to East Cape, Taupo and Raglan, after 16 hours; easterly moderate to strong everywhere else. Barometer.— Fall at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan, also southward of Kaikoura •and Hokitika; little movement elsewhere. Rain is probable northward of East Cape, Taupo and Raglan. Warning signal for easterly gale ia exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen and Tiritiri, and will be shown at East Cape after sunrise. •
