A PRIEST SHOT AT THE ALTAK
MURDERER NEARLY LYNCHED
Received February 25, 8.43 a.m. NEW YORK, February 24. A startling tragedy occurred in a Roman Catholic Church at Denver. An Italian anarchist, while kneeling at the altar receiving the Sacrament, shot and killed Father Heinrichs, the officiating priest, and then escaped. He was captured later, and nearly lynched.
