At the North Lei trim election, Mr Menhan (Nationalist) 3,103, defeated Mr Dolan (Sinn Fein) 1.157. Mr Dolan resigned as a challenge to the Redmondites.
(At the General Election Mr Dolan was returned as a Nationalist unopposed.)
