A BOMB THAT FAILED TO EX-
PLODE.
Received February 17, 8.34 a.m LISBON, February 16.
A bomb was discovered under the landing-stage near the Praca de Comercio, where King t Carlos and Prince Luiz landed on the day of the assassinations. A fuse attached had been lighted, but failed to explode.
WREATHS LAID ON REGICIDES GRAVES.
REPUBLICANS ACTIVE.
Received February 17, 9.49 p.m. LISBON, February 17. A crowd of working men laid wreaths on the graves of the regicides at Lisbon. The Republicans are active, despite King Manuel's efforts to conciliate the leaders.
