SALE OF STUD LINCOLN SHEEP.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Mr William Strang's sale of stud Lincoln sheep: —The attendance of buyers was not large, and several intending buyers were prevented from purchasing owing to the extreme dry weather and consequent shortage of feed and water. The various lots were well drafted, and, taken as a whole, the stock came in to the sale ring in first-class order. Several buyers from outside districts were present, but only secured a few lots. A clearance was made at the following prices:—Ewe la.nbs, 2 guineas to 2| guineas; 2-tooth ewes, 2 guineas to 3 guineas; 4-tooth ewes, If guineas to Si guinea*; 6-tooth ewes, 1£ guineas to 3£ guineas; 8tooth ewes, 1J guineas to 32 guineas; f.m. ewes, | guinea to 1| guineas; ram lambs, 2 guineas to 4 guineas; rams, 24 guineas, 20£ guineas, and three at 15-guineas.
