EIGHT NATIVES RESCUED.
A SECOND EXPLOSION
MORE MEN ENTOMBED,
Received February 18. 5.8 p.m. DURBAN. February 15. Eight of the natives who were entombed have been rescued. A second explosion entombed Mr Muir, an inspector of mines, five other Europeans, and 25 natives. Further explosions are imminent, and in consequence fresh rescue parties are not allowed to proceed with the work of reaching the entombed men.
It is feared that altogether 27 men have Derished.
