FIRE AT A CONVENT.
CHILDREN GOT OUT SAFELY. Received February 12, 9 a.m. LONDON, February 11. A fire occurred at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Newcastle. The nuns knotted sheets and lowered fifty children safely to the ground.
