REPORTED ASSASSINATION OF THE CZAR.
OFFICIALLY DENIED. LONDON, February 6. The specific story of the Czar's assassination caused widespread alarm. It is now officially denied. ENGLAND'S UNEMPLOYED. MARCHTOF THE "MANCHESTER • BLANKETEERS." LONDON, February 7. The fifty unemployed \Vho left Manchester on the march to London are gradually,dwindling away. Before reaching Watford, some became dissatisfied with the arrangements, and Salvationists paid their return fares.
Only eighteen reached London. These are now marching to Windsor after forwarding the petition. (Representatives of 25,000 Manchester and Salford unemployed who are marching from London to Windsor, carrying a red flag, intend to present a petition to King Edward, asking leave to inspect the Castle lands to see if they are suitable for cultivation. They have asked to be allowed fifty acres, on which to experiment and trv to make homes, and promise not to'enter the Castle gates without permission.)
