STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Mitchell, Griffith and Co. report that their quarterly horse sale Jit Pahiatua, on Thursday, was very satisfactory, considering the dry state of the district and the readiness of vendors to clear lines. %he number of entries was in excess of last quarter's sale, and a fair number disposed of. They quote as follows: — Draughts £33 10s to £37 15s, medium draughts £27, hacks £9 2s 6d to £ll, a 2-year-old filly £l6, pair light buggy ponies £l7 10s, ponies £3 10s to £5 10s, light'trap horse £l3 10s, mare with foal at foot £ll. It is the firms' intention to hold a monthly sale at the mart yards, and special arrangements are being made to have the track put down in good order.
