METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.—Northerly; strong to gale at all f places no*th of Napier and Kawhia after 16 hours; also easterly strong to gale • thence' southward to Kaikoura and Hokitika; moderate to strong easterly elsewhere. Barometer.—Fall everywhere. Rain is pvobable at all places northward of Kaikoura and Hokitika. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria van Diemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape, and for easterly gale will be-shown after sunrise at Capes Farewell and Foulwind and Campbell.
