A GIRL SHOT. IVX TKI-iEOUAPH—PRESS ASHOCMT ON. AUCKLAND, February 3. A shooting case is reported from Lautoka, Fiji, where a native girl named Mary, who was engaged as nurse by Mrs Mecharn, was found shot dead in her bedroom. ~lt is thought the girl was handling a revolver when it exploded. A MAORI KILLED. WHANGAREI. February 3. A Maori named George Ru was [ instantly killed by a log rolling over him at Matapouri owing ta the jack slipping. •
