The Very Rev. Dean McKenna and Rev. Father Kelly,"of Masterton, are at present on a visit to Wellington. < Tney will return about the end of the ! week. r Mr E. Cloake, who has been on the staff at the Featherston railway station during <he past six years, has received notice that he is to be transferred to Wanganui. At Napier, on Wednesday last, Mr George Butler, eldest son of Mr George Butler, senr., of Carterton, was married to Miss A. V. Sorrell, daughter of Mr Charles Sorrell, of Napier. Mr A. P. Roydhouse, of the Car- . terton Public School staff, has been successful in passing the pupil teachers' examination recently held at Wellington. Mr J. Harvey, teacher at the Waingawa School, passed the Junior Civil Service examination with credit.
