VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY. THAW DEEMED TO BE INSANE. Received February 3, 12.30 a.m. . NEW YORK, February 2. A verdict of not guilty has been returned in tlie case of Harry Thaw, charged with the murder of Stanford White, on the ground that Thaw was insane at the time of the murder. The judge, deeming his discharge dangerous to the public safety, has ordered Thaw to be confined in the Matteswan Asylum for an indefinite period.
