FATAL ACCIDENT.

MAN RUN OVER BY A TRAIN. BY TEIii:ORAP;f —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, January 31. A fatal accident occurred at Gonville, last evening, on the Castlecliffe branch line of railway, when a man named Andrew Bogle was run over by a train and cut to pieces. The train was approaching Gonville station when the engine driver noticed the man on the line, a few yards in front of the engine. He immediately applied the brakes,but the train passed over him before being brought to a standstill. An arm and a leg were severed, and the body was horribly mangled. The victim was within a few yards of his home, and evidently did not hear or see the approaching train.
