Yesterday a revulsion set in on the Commonwealth Exchanges, and there was something like a panic in the rush to secure scrip, which had been heavily oversold. Prices fluctuated violently. The capital value of eight Broken Hill mines advanced in the aggregate over £OOO,OOO. The Proprietary mine alone was appraised at over a quarter of a million advance on Wednesday's value. THE TARIFF.
