Mediterranean Fruit Fly.
DISCOVERED IN AN AUCKLAND ORCHARD. AUCKLAND, January 30. The Mediterranean fruit fly has made its appearance in this province, having been discovered in an orchard at Devonport. It seems so far-to be confined to one small area, and every effort is being made by the Government Pomologist, who is on the spot; to prevent its spread.
