NAPIER RAM FAIR.

| , BY TELEGIUPH —PP.ESS ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, January 30. The annual ram fair was commenced at Hastings to day. The entry was a record one. All the stud rams and the shearling and two-shear Lincoln and Romney flock rams were offered to-day. Other flock rams will be submitted to-morrow. There was ia large attendance of . buyers, and satisfactory prices were realised. Lincoln studs sold up to 32gns, which was obtained for a shearling bred by W. Rayner (Masterton); 52gns being realised for a shearling bred by the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, who got 49 gns for another shearling. T. Tanner 's studs sold up to 47gns, and W. Perry (Masterton) obtained 46gns, 40gns, 32ffns, 28gns, 27gns, 25gns, for six of his studs. The highest price for one o£ Mr Bland Rayner's Lincoln studs was 27gns. I Flock Lincolns ranged up to Ilgns. Romney Marsh flocks sold up to 9gns, this'sum being realised for ten shearlings* bVed by W. E. Eidwill (South Wairarapa). I Romney Marsh studs brought up to •45 and 32gns, both prices being for rams bred by E. J. Riddiford, Lower Hutt. Only four Border Leicester studs were sold, these going to 4fgns. The top price for Southdowns was 14gns for one of Mr Geo. Rhodes' rams.
