The Hunslett footballers were the holders of the Yorkshire Cup and perhaps the strongest team in the county this season, and the New Zealar.ders accomplished a very good performance in drawing with them. In the early stages of the game play was fairly even. Both Wrigley and Messenger kicked splendid penalty goals, while the former, after a fine run, crossed the line, Messenger converting. When the second spell opened the home team had not acored, but after the interval they played a much stronger gnm3, and'the play was exciting. Goldthorpe kicked a sroal from a mark and added three goals from penalties. With a superb effort Messenger kicked a penalty goal form just beyond the half-way line, and brought the scores level.
