Gold From River-bed.
WESTPORT, January 28. In a brief space of time, F. Clifford has taken one hundred ounces of gold out of his claim in Waimangaroa river—all coarse gold, and some nice nuggets. The lowness of the stream has enabled the bed of the river to be exploited. A large number of claims have been pegged out.
