THE HARRIMAN COMBINATION.
AN ACTION IN EQUITY INITIATED. Received January B.ST a.m. NEW YORK, January 27. Mr Charles Bonaparte, United States Attorney-General, has initiated an action in equity to dissolve the alleged merger of the Pacific lines on the ground that Mr Harriman controls the biggest combination existing, in restraint of trade, and in direct violation of the Sherman Act.
