POLICY OF RAPPROACHMENTS. WARNING TO THE SULTAN. Received January 28, 1.27 p.m. VIENNA, January 28. Baron Aerenthal, Austrian Minister for Foreign Affairs, in an address to the Foreign Affairs Committee of Hungarian delegations, said he rejoiced that t.he modern policy of rapproachments had extended itself under such favourable auspices on both sides to the Anglo—German relations. He expressed satisfaction at the Franco - Spanish action in Morocco. He warned the Sultan of Turkey that unless he fully supported the powers in the reforms which they had resolved to proceed with his position in three vilayets would be jeopardised. Hie terrorism activity would not have assumed such dimensions had the Turkish authorities afforded the defenceless population energetic protection. He added that the Balkan States had assured the Powers that they would not tolerate organised bands in their countries.
