CRICKET.
The Masterton Cricket Association's fixtures for next Thursday are as follow:—Carterton v. Star, at Carterton; Carlton v. W.F.C.A., No 2 wicket, Park Oval. The secretary of the Hawke's Bay Cricket Association has written to the secretary of the Wairarapa Cricket Association stating that the Hawke's Bay representatives will play Wairarapa at Napier on March 16th and 17th (Carnival week). Owing to pressure of business Mr G. de Vries, who has been the delegate of the Wairarapa Cricket Association on the New Zealand Cricket Council for some years *past, has resigned. He has written to the secretary of the Wairarapa Cricket Association recommending the appointment of Mr G. Wes|on, of Christchurch.
The following will represent Carlton against W.F.C.A., next Thursday, on the Park Oval:—F. Welch, Water 3, Moss, Boyd, A. Hoar, Swan, Voyce, Wickens, Aymes, Owen, Lett. The following will represent Carlton A against Carlton B, next Saturday, on No. 1 wicket, on the Park Oval:—E. Welch, Waters, O'Leary, Boyd, Swan, Ogier, Clarke, Parkinson, Hoar, Allen, F. Welch. Tne following will represent Caiitjn B:—Smith, Darvill, Wickens, K. Welch, L. Welch, B. Welch,, A. Welch, Aymes, Hoar, Chamberlain, Bentley, Sheppard, Lawrence, M.. Welch. The following iixtures have been drawn up for the second round of the v Wairarapa Cricket Association's senior competition:— Second Round. February Ist and Bth.—Masterton A v. Featherston, at Carterton; Carterton v. Masterton B, No.. 2 wicket; Carlton A v Carlton B, No. 1 wicket. February. 15th and 22nd.—Carlton Av. Featherston* at Carterton; Carterton v. Carlton B, No. 2 wicket; Masterton A v. Masterton B, No. 1 wicket. February 29th and March 7th. — Carterton v. Featherston, at Carterton; Carl ten A v. Masterton A, No. 2 wicket; Carlton Bv. Masterton, No. 1 wicket. The representative team will leave Masterton on March 14th for Napier, and the remainder of the fixtures will be drawn afterwards.
