THE STRANDING OP THE BARQUE HINEMOA. DISSATISFIED SEAMEN DISPLACE THE CAPTAIN. FIRST OFFICER TAKES COMMAND. Received January 24, 10.33 a.ir. MELBOURNE, January 24. When the barque Hinemoa, stranded at Lome, was towed off, the captain decided to sail to port without the aid of tugs. After proceeding for some hours the crew became dissatisfied with the captain's navigation, and the command was transferred to the first officer. The captain admits that control I was taken from him because he car- V ried too much sail. KALGOORLIE MINE EXPLOSION. ONE VICTIM SUCCUMBS. * Received January 24, 10.46 a.m. PERTH, January 24. The Government has given 'tin name "Seddon" to one to perpetuate in Australia the name of New Zealand's late Prime Minister. DISPUTED TERRITORY. VICTORIA AND SOUTH AU3- . \ TRALIA. The Stale Government has agreed to pay South Australia £107,000 for the strip of disputed territory on the border, subject to the approval of the Parliament of both States. FEDERAL TARIFF. Captain Spinks, who will conduct the salvage operations, arrived at noon by the Mokoia from Port Stephens. (The Norwegian steamer Thode Fagelund went ashore on the Cronulla , beach on Thursday.) (
