The New South Wales team, which Zealand las' - , year, entertained the Aucklanders by taking them on special touring cars and showing them the places round Sydney. They afterwards entertained them at lunch at the Waverley Green. Mr Evans Crouch, who visited New Zealand with the New South Wales team, spoke in unmeasured terms of the boundless hospitality accorded to the New South Wales bowlers in New Zealand. The visitors played a six-rink matc'-i against a Waverley team, and were defeated by eight points. The scores were as follow:—Shaldick, Newburn, Mcintosh, Carlow (Auckland) 22 lost to Waverley 25; Wooler, Trankin. McCallum, Rankin (Auckland) 21 lost to Waverley 29; .Viller, Carlow, junior, Hudson, Laurie (Auckland) 18 lost to Waverley 22; Schnauer, Perrett, Young, Harrison 25 beat Waverley 17; Michaels, Coldicutt, Kusahs, Cutts (Auckland)) 19 tied With Waverley 19; Arey, Allen, Eyre, Handcock (Auckland) 20 lost to Waverley 21. Totals Waverley, 133; Auckland, 125.
