METEOROLOGICAL.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that since the beginning; of January the total rainfall registered at Upper Plain has been 46 point?, against 5.36 inches in the first twenty days of January of last year. It is also worthy of note that the rainfall in November and December of 1906 totalled 5.21 inches, while for the same months of 1907 the rainfall was only 2.90 inches. Captain Edwin issued the following forecast at 9 a.m. yesterday for the subsequent 24 hours:— Wind.—Moderate to strong, and generally from the southward. Barometer. —Rise everywhere.
