In 1888, in firstclass cricket, he took 314 wickets, and in 1890, 215). It is understood that Featherston will forfeit their match with Masterton A next Saturday, on account of the difficulty in getting a team to. travel to Masterton. An effort is being made to get Featherston and Carterton to play a match next Saturday. If this is arranged, Masterton A will play Carlton B and Carlton A will play Masterton B.
